Mario Matera

An eclectic, tormented, controversial artist. He was born in Italy in the midst of the '68 revolution. At 13, he began painting, later achieving national and international acclaim, exhibiting in Venice, Berlin, Moscow, and Bangalore, among many other places. At 17, he worked as an illustrator, comic artist, then graphic designer. After years of creative direction on fashion photo sets, he started photography. He teaches visual communication at a high school specializing in Advertising Graphics. For several years, he has also dedicated himself to cinema, directing photography for commercials, short films, and feature films. He is the creative director and photographer for MARIO MATERA GROUP.
