Freedom denied
INFORMATION
80 x 80 - 120 x 120 cm
Corten steel laser-cut sculpture, set in an industrial concrete surface.
Two wings trapped in concrete pigmented with acrylic colours: a freedom that
struggles to take flight. The material used is Corten, a steel that oxidizes
without succumbing to corrosion, a metaphor for human tenacity and the desire for
self-determination. The concrete represents the composite root against which one
fights, but from which, at the same time, one cannot escape.
