Caterina Crepax
Caterina Crepax is an Italian artist born in Milan in 1964. She graduated in Architectural Design from the Politecnico di Milano and worked as an interior architect, also dealing with graphics and set design. Since 1995, she has dedicated herself primarily to paper art, transforming recycled materials into sculptures and three-dimensional garments. Her creations, often inspired by fashion, nature, and architecture, combine common and precious paper into sumptuous "fabrics" through cuts, folds, and pleats. She has exhibited in international shows such as the São Paulo Biennial and Art Basel in Miami, and collaborates with companies like Fedrigoni. She manages the Crepax Archive with her brothers and in 2018 she was awarded the title of Master of Art and Craft. She recently held exhibitions such as "The Gentleness of Paper" in Bologna in 2025.
