SPACES FOR SIGNATURES
An Authorial Approach to Interior Design
In my work, interior design has never been solely a matter of function or style. It is, first and foremost, a cultural discipline: a way to translate identity, values, and sensibility into a habitable space.
Over time, I have developed an approach that integrates interior design, art design, and direct production of customizable furnishings, accessories, and finishes. Not as an exercise in control, but as a choice of coherence: only when every element originates from a shared vision can a space truly be considered complete.
SIGNATURE SPACES was created to explain this method.
It is not a collection of projects, nor a showcase of solutions. It is a series of content designed to share a precise way of understanding space: as a conscious extension of those who live in it, and as a design gesture that carries with it aesthetic and cultural responsibility.
In every Signature Space, the environment is conceived as a habitable portrait: a coherent system of volumes, materials, light, and objects where nothing is decorative and nothing is random. Furnishings, surfaces, and details do not respond to a trend, but to a character, a story, a way of being in the world.
This content is aimed at two main audiences.
On one hand, clients who seek truly bespoke, non-standardizable solutions, and who recognize the value of a project designed to last over time, both aesthetically and experientially.
On the other hand, designers and architects interested in working with an open but authoritative system: a range of products, materials, and concepts that can be adopted as is, reinterpreted, or enriched with their own design language. This is where the People of Migliorino community and the Not Ordinary Designer program come in.
SIGNATURE SPACES also represents the theoretical and practical foundation for the training courses and academy activities I am developing: because today, designing spaces means taking a stance, not just proposing solutions.
This approach takes shape through @MIGLIORINO, the productive and creative entity with which I develop furnishings, finishes, and accessories designed to integrate coherently into Signature Spaces. It is the place where design vision and production meet, making complete control of the final result possible.
