L’arte è ancora originale?

Is art still original?

Or are we living in an age of eternal remix?

We are used to considering originality as an absolute value, almost a form of creative purity. But today, in a hyper-connected world, where every piece of content is inspired, re-elaborated, quoted... does it still make sense to talk about "originality"?

In this eleventh episode of my column "4 Chiacchiere con Me Stesso" (4 Chats with Myself), I reflect on this fascinating and highly topical issue: is art still original, or has everything already been done?

We move between cinema that re-proposes sequel after sequel, fashion that rehashes from the past, music built on sampling... and then there's artificial intelligence, which "creates" images, songs, and texts in a few seconds from billions of pre-existing data.

So: 👉 Is it still possible to invent something truly new? 👉 Has creativity lost its power or has it simply changed shape? 👉 And what if the value is no longer in absolute novelty, but in the personal vision with which content is reinterpreted?

In this episode, you will find reflections (and provocations) on the meaning of "creating" today, with examples from Duchamp to Virgil Abloh, from Basquiat to Refik Anadol.
